The weekly shows will be every Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., starting Aug. 4. No admission will be charged, but donations will be accepted with the proceeds going to Summerside charities.In a recent interview with SaltWire Network, he expressed frustration that his proposal for a weekly show at Charlottetown’s Victoria Park Pavillion had been met with reluctance from the capital city.
“Supporting Island musicians and the tradition of ceilidhs is important, perhaps now more than ever. I believe when people gather, share camaraderie, tell stories, and join in song, the experience is uplifting. Allowing yourself to get caught up in the spirit of a ceilidh can provide a valuable and lasting escape.”
