TDSB must resist the pressure to make these events mandatory for kids

that various activists, described as being mainly from the “2SLGBTQ+ communities,” are up in arms because some parents don’t want their kids, aged six to 13, listening to grown men in women’s attire reciting stories and songs.The Toronto District School Board has given parents an opt-out clause allowing their children to attend other activities when drag queen story time is being performed.

There are already demands for an apology, and no doubt an act of penance will also be demanded later. What will not follow is any forgiveness. And today’s heroes are sometimes tomorrow’s villains. The left wants to see itself as virtue personified, as Liberty Leading the People in Delacroix’sBut they really act like a person from an earlier French revolution, Maximilien Robespierre, who sent thousands to their deaths on the guillotine in the very name of virtue.
