. The movie made me think about what living in New York would be like and all the crazy situations that must just be part of life in the big city. Mostly, though, I fantasized about the clothes. After seeing Roxy wearing a Metallica tee, I searched desperately for one to add to my own closet — not because I like the band, but because of how cool she makes it look.
The movie follows twin sisters Jane and Roxy Ryan, who head to New York City for the day. A buttoned-up Jane is trying out for an overseas college program, while Roxy is trying to scheme a way to meet her favorite punk band. Needless to say, chaos ensues, and they find themselves in multiple hysterical situations. Jane's prim style consists of chic blazer and skirt sets, while Roxy is often seen in band tees and distressed denim.
