Investigators said a resident along Perdue Avenue in Mifflin Township tried to help Benjamin jump his car Sunday night, but called 911 when he noticed something about Benjamin wasn't right."We were trying to help him jump his car," Mark Hodge told ABC 6. "But then he pushed me, and then he came up and smacked my hand. I went inside and called 911." When an officer arrived, he approached Benjamin and asked him what the problem was.
Benjamin said he needed a jump, adding that he was trying to push the car toward a parking lot. The officer noted that the parking lot was in the other direction, then asked Benjamin for identification. Video obtained Monday by ABC 6 showed the confrontation, during which Benjamin was uncooperative for several minutes before he eventually attacked the officer.
