Authorities have detained a man allegedly ‘acting suspiciously’ nearThe man was arrested on Saturday evening near Bute House in Edinburgh, the official residence of Scotland’s new first minister.A spokesperson for the force told Metro.co.uk: ‘We were called at around 7.40pm on Saturday 1 April to report of a man acting suspiciously in the Charlotte Square area of Edinburgh.‘Officers attended and a 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
They added: ‘There was no threat to the wider public and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.’But they declined to comment, stating that it remains a police matter. Mr Yousaf, 37, defeated rivals Kate Forbes and Ash Reagan in a leadership contest to become the first ever person from a minority ethnic background to hold his post.as first minister earlier in February, though Ms Sturgeon did not publicly back any of the candidates.
