York police are looking for two suspects after an armed kidnapping attempt in Vaughan last week. A man and woman were threatened and thrown to the ground, police allege, where the male victim was struck with a gun and the woman threatened at gunpoint.

The man and woman were threatened and then thrown to the ground, York police allege, where the male victim was struck with the gun and the woman threatened at gunpoint. The suspects told the pair to follow them, but were interrupted when employees and customers leaving the restaurant stopped to check on the situation.
Police say the suspects fled in a black Mercedes-Benz sedan and were last seen travelling south on Weston Road. Both victims experienced minor injuries during the assault, and investigators believe this was a targeted attack.Investigators would like to talk to those who may have witnessed the incident or may have dashcam or video of the attempted kidnapping or suspects and their vehicle.
