ICYMI: LETTERS: Snow shovelling for seniors and other letters from P.E.I. | SaltWire
On Dec. 30, Debbie Travers' dog Caspie was killed by an animal snare that had been placed on private property near her house. – Contributed - ContributedI was wondering if someone can give seniors in provincial housing the reason for no plowing of parking lot spaces. I sent two emails to provincial housing, one passed on"to whom it may concern," but no one got back to me. I also notified an MLA who did get back to me and offered to shovel me out.
You can obtain money to pay for a person to shovel the snow, but it is impossible to find a person to do the job on a regular basis. I, like many others, want to know why this is happening to some of the most vulnerable seniors. This is the warning that is being posted by Petra Corlett of Belfast on P.E.I. trails. The action follows a dog that was killed in Charlottetown on Nov. 2 by an illegally set animal trap. ContributedI wrote a letter a few weeks ago on snares and trapping in P.E.I. .
Should our pets , children, or even ourselves get caught in these things, it’s death for our pets, injury or even death for our children, and very painful for an adult. This is impacting hundreds of thousands of Canadians, as they struggle to make ends meet as everything gets more and more expensive. They are workers, retirees, families, veterans, men, women, even children. It is impacting every part of our community and can be seen in our community.
