Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings for Greater Victoria, the Malahat, East Vancouver Island and the southern Gulf Islands.

“An area of low pressure over the Pacific Ocean will produce an intense band of snow over southern Vancouver Island,” said Environment Canada in an advisory issued Monday. “The snow will begin this morning and continue until Tuesday morning.” Environment Canada issued a slew of snowfall and winter storm warnings over much of B.C. on the weekend as a weather system brought heavy snow to the region starting Saturday night.Article content
