'The Newfoundland and Labrador government is complicit in every injury and death caused by addictive products they sell or collect taxes on'
Being an early riser, I usually pick up a coffee, drive around having a look, taking a few pictures. It could be Cape Spear, south side, Quidi Vidi, Signal Hill, etc.As I sat there drinking my coffee and having a look, a group of young people stopped and got out of their vehicle. The last one to get out was a young person who looked to be about 14 or 15. He was vaping, in fact I could see the cloud of smoke as he opened the door. The first was in The Telegram, Friday, Sept. 8, 2023.
"In my opinion, the Newfoundland and Labrador government is complicit in every injury and death caused by addictive products they sell or collect taxes on." The writer also suggests increasing the legal age to purchase tobacco and e-cigarettes to 21 years old.If government can allow young people below the age of 21 to join the Forces, then send them off to war to kill or be killed, then government should have no say in telling these same young people they can't buy a smoke until they are 21.
The second story was on VOCM, Sept. 2, 2023. The headline of this story states"Vape products drive double-digit growth in cannabis sales for NLC."
