James accused five individuals of trafficking 'ghost guns' in Queens.
New York Attorney General Letitia James announced a 625-count indictment related to alleged trafficking of 'ghost guns' on Wednesday.James, a Democrat, announced the indictment in a news release Wednesday, accusing five individuals of illegally selling ghost guns and other firearms in Queens. Her office allegedly recovered 86 firearms, including 55 ghost guns and 25 assault weapons, as part of the investigation into what she described as a 'ghost gun trafficking operation.
The investigation began in 2023 and focused on the activities of Satveer Saini and his alleged associates, identified as Mateo Castro-Agudelo, Hargeny Fernandez-Gonzalez, Adam Youssef Senhaji-Rivas and Milanjit Sidhu, according to the statement.She alleged that Saini, Fernandez-Gonzale and Senhaji-Rivas paid more than $27,000 to purchase firearms from Indiana, which has more relaxed firearm laws than New York.
