It could mean jobs and a boost to Cleveland’s economy.“We have a booming water economy, but using technology, we can grow even further,” said Samantha Martin with Cleveland Water Alliance.The answer is by having dozens of tech companies come to Northeast Ohio test the waters, so to speak.
“It could be real-time E. coli detection so that they have information about beach closures,” Martin stated.Argonaut, a Northeast Ohio non-profit, is training the next generation of the water economy workforce. Daniel Dolence is one of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District students who help them deploy the buoys in the water.
“It’s for me to get some new experience on vessels and whatnot. I will be going on a frater with hopefully a company during the summer when I graduate this June,” said Dolence.2 people overdose at Mentor bar
