But what? What? In your case, it couldn’t possibly be wealth: you’re quite wealthy already. It couldn’t be knowledge: you are widely regarded as one of the smartest people in Canada.
So what is it? What persuaded you to act as Justin Trudeau’s “special rapporteur” into the growing Chinese election interference scandal? Did you lose your senses? Why? You know why. You have publicly admitted you have been a good friend of Justin Trudeau for his entire life. You have skied together. You have attended the same swishy parties, breathing the rarefied air of Rockcliffe and Rosedale and Westmount.Most seriously, you have been a key member of the Trudeau Foundation. Which, we note, received hundreds of thousands of dollars in Chinese graft.
“One, because we took money from China. Two, because I am too close to you and your family. Do the right thing, and call a public inquiry.”
