The cast of Sony Pictures' latest entry in the Karate Kid franchise has grown, with THR reporting that Joshua Jackson has joined the cast.
Not much is known about the plot of the new Karate Kid movie, though it will reportedly be set on the East Coast and focus on a teenager in China. Currently, Jackson’s role in the film is largely unknown, but he is being described as “one of the main characters” of the movie.
Jackson is perhaps best known for his roles on the hit teen drama series Dawson’s Creek, and the sci-fi series Fringe. Recently, Jackson appeared as Dr. Christopher Duntsch in the Peacock crime drama series Dr. Death, and starred in the Paramount+ Fatal Attraction series.In November 2023, it was announced that Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan are both reprising their roles in the forthcoming movie.
