UPEI standout guard Elijah Miller, the reigning AUS men's basketball most valuable player, leads the Panthers into the U Sports Final 8 championship, which begins Friday at Scotiabank Centre. - ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY SPORTThe UPEI Panthers standout guard’s mother played university hoops at York. When Miller was three, she bought him a basketball and a Fisher-Price net.
Since arriving at the Charlottetown campus in 2019, Miller was named to the Atlantic university conference all-rookie team in his freshman campaign and was selected to the AUS first all-star team last season. “I feel this season has been a bunch of small victories, little milestones,” Miller said. “We won road games at Memorial, we won on the road at St. F.X. We never done that since I’ve been here. And then capping it with the MVP award for myself was a great accomplishment for me.
Elijah Miller and the UPEI Panthers are the eighth seed in the Final 8 tournament and will face the No. 1-ranked Victoria Vikes in Friday's late quarter-final at Scotiabank Centre. - ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY SPORT
