There are five Saskatchewan Short Film nominees at this year's RIFFA.
mostly filmed at the Saskatchewan Filmpool Co-operative, where she worked as the programming coordinator at the time. Her film is a documentary with a unique format that “not a lot of people have seen before.”
The inspiration behind this format came from an assignment she had in university, to take an old photograph and colourize it. Duddridge graduated university in 2012, the same year the film tax credit was cut. With fewer incentives for production companies to film in Saskatchewan, many of her friends in the industry left the province.The first paper puppet film she made, A Gentleman’s Quarrel was made from Eaton’s catalogue cut-outs.
