At 9:05 p.m., police received another call about the same suspect vehicle hitting a tree on a residential lawn on Winston Castle Dr.
The suspect was extracted, taken into custody.Gffrizio Murriel, 45, is charged with fail to stop after accident, dangerous operation and impaired operation – 80 Plus.
“Impaired driving continues to be an unacceptable and avoidable problem. York Regional Police remains firmly committed to doing all it can to tackle this issue,” police said in a release. “If you see an impaired driver, call 911 right away as part of our Safe Roads: Your Call program.
