Updated: May. 21, 2024, 1:06 a.m.Incarnate Word Academy eighth-grader Advait Nishit will be heading to Washington, D.C., to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Advait Nishit is hoping to spell victory.
“The first time I was definitely surprised, but this time, I kind of was more determined to go. I’m happy to be going back. Competing against 19 spellers through several rounds that lasted more than three hours, Advait then secured a spot in the national competition by placing at the Scripps National Spelling Bee Region 2 Bee, which was held virtually March 30.
