RyLee Grays, Paige Bonner lift Pearland girls past Shadow Creek in overtime

Then, from a spread offense, Pearland was able to produce layups from junior guard Nyah Hardy and senior Janae Tucker for a 49-44 cushion with 1:10 left.The Lady Sharks’ only point came from senior Kameryn Phillips with nine seconds left. After bolting to a 20-10 first-quarter lead, Pearland led 26-20 at halftime and 34-29 entering the fourth quarter.
“RyLee only had four points early, but she got hot at the end,” Shadow Creek coach Latoya Micheaux said. “Our foul trouble and our turnovers got us in a bind, but my girls played very hard.
