The Education Minister says there will be a review of school policies following the violent attack at Prince of Wales Collegiate.
John Haggie offered his sympathies to the victim and his family and says a review will be conducted once RNC conclude their investigation.He says there is now a heightened security presence outside PWC and funding is set aside to provide extra supports to schools where needed. During the pandemic, federal funding was provided to allow them to hire an additional 40 support staff in schools. He says there is an increased number of guidance and support staff available who are able to respond when major incidents occur in the school community.
