A man who was caught driving whilst under the influence of cannabis has been banned.
Usman Sarfraz, 27, appeared in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday after previously pleading guilty to the offence.The procurator fiscal depute said: “Police had reason to stop the accused.“Police thereafter attended at the vehicle and spoke with the accused. There was a strong smell of cannabis.“He was informed he was under arrest due to the positive result for cannabis and was conveyed to Cathcart police office.”Police later received notification that the test returned a result of 3.
Sarfraz’s lawyer said: “He had previously used cannabis and it stayed in his system. He has dealt with his cannabis use. He is doing well.Sheriff Bernard Ablett fined Sarfraz £470.
