Even if you’ve never heard of Amélie Riech, you will have most likely already come across the designer’s bold jewellery.
Startled by the brand’s willingness to give a platform to an independent brand, the designer soon realised it was a match made in heaven. “Until now I have been creating different size objects from small jewellery to larger scale sculptures, but this is the first time I have created functional homeware”, she explains. “As I start my journey across multi-disciplines, it seemed like the natural next step for me.
The collection offers a taste of the designer’s joyful design sensibilities at an affordable price point. As a subtle nod to her design CV, the nine-piece strong collection features graphic shapes and forms in rich colours, from lacquered “powder rose” to “lipstick red” and contrasting accents of polished chrome and gold.Inspired by the simplest of forms – the circle – the mother of two was looking to incorporate a message of “harmony, togetherness, tenderness and love” into the collection.
