Britain's Got Talent reveals first look at new spin-off The Ultimate Magician
The judging panel will mostly look the same, with Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams returning. Simon Cowell won't be there, with Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller fame bringing his years of knowledge to the panel.
The special will see 10 magical acts from across the worldwide Got Talent franchises competing to win a cash prize, with the theatre audience choosing the winner. "It was lovely to get the chance to host because the magicians that are in the show, I grew up watching some of them and lots of them inspired me to get into magic," Mulhern said."Kevin James is a prime example. He's just an incredible Las Vegas magician."
When he got the job, Mulhern got a text from Dec that read:"There's no one better to take the reins from us. You'll be brilliant. Just don't be too brilliant. Thanks so much for stepping in!"
