FWPD officer, brother pay it forward by donating hair to Wigs for Kids
A Fort Worth police officer whose younger brother has defied the odds his entire life makes a generous donation -- but not in the form of money.
Ofc. Dillon Gor's brother, Travis, has battled countless medical conditions his entire life, including undergoing 15 surgeries. "He wasn't supposed to make it past birth, he wasn't supposed to make it out of NICU, he wasn't supposed to make it out of ICU," says Ofc. Gor."He was only going to be home for a little bit, so let's make them as comfortable as possible.As a way of giving back to Cook Children's Medical Center, the brothers concocted a plan.
Gor says, 'A couple years ago and he was like, 'Hey, we should grow our hair out, and let's donate our hair to the kids at Cook Children's for people that need hair.'"
