Although the badge at the back reads 1.3, the Alfaholics version is powered by an all-aluminum 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine that runs on throttle bodies and a Motec ECU. All in, it produces 240 hp at 7,000 rpm, which is more than enough, since the car weighs less than 1,984 lbs , thanks to a carbon fiber hood and other upgrades.
Those other mods include titanium suspension parts that were borrowed from the GTA-R. Not everything is a carryover part, though. Since the interior is different, it is treated differently. Made to look classic, it features era-appropriate seats, while modern touches, like the inductive phone charger, are hidden to help maintain the vibe.
The large steering wheel is also kept from the original car, and gives the Giulia Super R 270 a more classical feel than the GTA-R with its smaller racing wheel. It all combines to make a car that’s small enough not to be intimidating, modern enough to be convenient, and classic enough to still feel fun.
