Firefighters were battling a huge blaze that broke out near a petrol station in Midlothian on Friday evening

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews raced to the scene near the Shell Garage on Mayfield Road, Dalkeith, at roughly 7.15pm after being alerted by concerned residents.A video of the inferno showed a building completely engulfed by flames, sending large clouds of smoke billowing into the sky. Local Chris Keppie first noticed the site was on fire just after 7pm, which he says is a former caravan storage space.
The Edinburgh-based decorator said: “The fire service are doing a cracking job.
