THUNDER BAY — FedNor, the federal government's regional economic development agency, has announced over $1 million in investments for three initiatives in Northwestern Ontario.
The Kenora-based company last year purchased a 57-acre former farm, where it's been constructing a new A-frame multi-purpose building with the help of the federal funding. Patty Hajdu, the minister responsible for FedNor, also announced $489,000 for the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre to support the expansion of programs over three years to promote business development in the Kenora-Rainy Rive region.
