This year, 11 officers who were killed in the line of duty across Canada over the last 12 months will be honoured at an annual memorial run in Toronto.

The 18th annual National Peace Officer’s Memorial Run is happening Thursday and the opening ceremonies will begin at 8 a.m. at the Ontario Police Memorial at 23 Queen’s Park Crescent.The following temporary rolling road closures will be in place between 8:45 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.:Southbound lanes of University Avenue to King StreetToronto police say the run is open to the public.Ctrl+Enter
