Dave Bautista gave a heartwarming update about the dog he adopted last year named Penny Bautista.
Wrestler-turned-Hollywood star Dave Bautista has given a sweet update on the rescue dog he adopted last year. Bautista shot to superstardom in the WWE, but the six-time World Champion “took a chance” on himself by transitioning into acting, where his career eventually took off thanks to his popular role as Drax The Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
In September of last year, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay put out a story regarding a puppy named Sage, who was found eating rubbish while a metal chain was cutting into her neck. Bautista soon discovered this story and put out a $5000 reward for anyone that could give information on the person responsible for the dog’s poor condition. Unfortunately, there was no movement in regards to finding who was responsible.
In the midst of being a real-life superhero, Bautista is returning to the superhero genre, as he will reprise his role as Drax for possibly the final time in Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Principle photography for the trilogy is ongoing, but in addition to that, the actor is expected to return to Villeneuve’s Dune for the sequel and will star in M. Night Shymalan’s Knock at the Cabin.
