The other six deaths occurred before the current Feb. 21-27 reporting period, according to the weekly update of the COVID-19 online dashboard from the Department of Health and Wellness. There were 264 new positive tests in the past week, down from 391 last week. The number of hospital admissions was also down, compared to 33 last week.

As of Feb. 28, there were 31 people in hospital, down from 39 in the previous update, with five in ICU.Nova Scotia Health updated its hospitalization data for adults in its facilities Thursday:Admitted for something else but have COVID-19: 93 The number of children being treated for COVID-19 at the IWK Health Centre remains under five .
