Conor McGregor won’t face criminal charges for an

, prosecutors determined that there was “insufficient evidence” as well as “contradicting and/or no corroborating witnesses” to prove that McGregor raped a women in the bathroom during an NBA Finals game between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets on June 9.

Prosecutors reportedly reviewed video footage from the Kaseya Center on the night of the incident. Video confirmed that McGregor and the woman entered the men’s restroom together for approximately five minutes, and they were later seen together at a club within the venue.

Meanwhile, the woman’s friend told prosecutors that the alleged victim never mentioned that she had been attacked, and the accuser later called her mother that night “tell her she had met” the former UFC champion. The memo also states that the woman asked detectives if they believed McGregor “would like to ‘settle or ‘pay her off’ if she did not pursue charges.”

All of the above helped prosecutors decide not to pursue charges against McGregor, who was in Miami that night for a halftime skit where he knocked out the Miami Heat mascot. "In light of the above facts and circumstances," prosecutors wrote in the memo,"the State would not be able to satisfy its burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt.”"After a thorough investigation, including a review of videos and interviews with eyewitnesses, the authorities have concluded that there is no case to pursue against my client,. The Dublin native is expected to make his UFC return sometime in 2024 after recently re-entering the USADA drug testing pool.
