“I brought him home and been taking care of him ever since,” remembers Heather.
PARMA, Ohio - Three years ago, Michael Bowman ’s life took a turn when he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on his left side. Today, the community, including non-profit Ride of Valor, Home Depot , and other volunteers made sure his life took a turn for the better.
But home posed challengers for the nine-year Army veteran. That’s where Ride with Valor stepped in, facilitating ADA modifications, widening doorways, and putting in new floors for Michael’s new wheelchair. The nonprofit formally started in 2019 and has helped hundreds of veterans already, including getting Michael a special wheelchair.
