CLEVELAND , Ohio - The Browns decision to move the team out of Downtown Cleveland and build a dome in Brook Park is creating quite a reaction around the city.
Kazy, along with other Council Members sounding off and not holding back about their feeling with the team.Kazy brought up the Art Model Law, which went into effect in 1996. It puts relocation restrictions on owners of professional sports teams that use a tax-supported facility, like the Browns whose stadium is owned by the City of Cleveland.
Councilman Kazy continued, “530,000 bodies that have to walk through the City of Cleveland to get to where their destination is. I am not sure the city could do anything that would attract five hundred and thousand something dollars to any one destination over the course of five months.”
