After the discovery of unmarked graves at former residential school sites in 2021, council directed that it receive yearly updates on how work on White Goose Flying’s calls to action are progressing.Terry Poucette, team lead for the city’s Indigenous relations office, said work continues to move forward on tasks such as a permanent Indian Residential School Memorial and the creation of an Indigenous gathering place.
