Chorney-Booth: YYC Food and Drink Experience returns to boost local restaurant community yyc
“It’s great for people who are value-conscious and also exciting for people who just want to try some interesting collaborations on the event side,” says Irena Knorr, culinary program director with Culinary Marketing Strategies and the festival director for the YYC Food and Drink Experience. “There are two different markets for this event: there are the people who want to try food at a value price and the people who want the amazing Michelin-level, once-in-a-lifetime events.
The restaurants within the Teatro Group are participating in both prongs of the festival, with prix fixe menus at Cucina, Teatro, and Vendome and a special edition of its Clos de la Oyster Barre pop-up featuring famed Vancouver chef Alex Chen of Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar on March 25 in Teatro’s newly renovated Opera Room.
