Four job fairs are heading to the Port of Sydney on April 4, the Inverness Fire Hall on April 5, the Louisdale Lions Club Hall on April 13 and the Inverary Resort on April 14. UnsplashSYDNEY, N.S. — A series of job fairs is heading to Cape Breton in April to help local job seekers and employers.
Job fairs will be held at the Port of Sydney on April 4, the Inverness Fire Hall on April 5, the Louisdale Lions Club Hall on April 13 and the Inverary Resort on April 14. The events will all run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Presented free of charge by the Cape Breton Partnership, Cape Breton Job Board and the provincial government, the fairs have over 40 employers and service providers signed up, with many attending more than one session.Cape Breton Partnership president and CEO Tyler Mattheis said local employers are the backbone of the economy in Cape Breton, and many are limited by staffing challenges facing the region.
