According to law enforcement sources, on Monday, Aug. 19, at approximately 9:33 p.m., an 18-year-old woman was walking in front of 24 West 25th St. when she was A man — unknown to the victim — came right up to her and slammed her in the face with a book, causing pain, bruising and swelling to her nose, police said.
