Dog-walkers found the body of a now identified Montreal teen while on a trail near Seneca College King Campus. Police believe the death was a homicide and are now looking for witnesses.
We don't know much about how the body of a young man located on a walking trail near Seneca College King Campus got there, but police believe they know it was a homicide.
Investigators are now looking for witnesses as they identify the victim in the case as Zachary Ramnath, 18, from Montreal. On April 23 at 7:50 a.m., York Regional Police received a call from a citizen who found a body while walking their dog along a trail northwest of the Seneca campus, in the area of Duferin Street and 15th Sideroad.
Officers who showed up deemed the death suspicious and the homicide unit took over the investigation."Investigators are appealing to witnesses who can help retrace the victim’s whereabouts and activities leading up to when his body was found," Const. Kim Majlik wrote in a news release."Additionally, investigators are urging anyone with dashcam or video surveillance in the area, to contact police as soon as possible.
