Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, aka Bill & Ted, are having their next excellent adventure on a Broadway stage: the duo are set to star in a production of Samuel Beckett's, 'Waiting for Godot.'
The dynamic duo will star in a production of Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot," marking Reeves' Broadway debut.Forget about Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan because Reeves and Winter will now star as Estragon and Vladimir, respectively. "We’re incredibly excited to be on stage together and work with the great Jamie Lloyd in one of our favorite plays,” the duo said in a joint statement.
Lloyd revealed that reuniting for the project was Reeves’ idea, adding that he immediately knew that"it was a no-brainer that this needed to be done.” He explained, "Their instant chemistry and their shorthand and their friendship is going to be so valuable. This is a very deeply complex play, as we all know, but it’s also a very funny play, and they’re very witty people and their shared sense of humor in those movies and in real life is going to be very beneficial to the production.”But don’t expect the “party on” attitude to follow the actors to the stage.
