In February, the Avalanche won the Western Region Division 1 championship title, which marked the second consecutive year the team has won that banner.“We had a 15-1 record in our regular season, playing in league play,” said Blois. “As a coaching staff, we’ve expressed to them and want them to know — and their families to know — that we’re so proud of how they’ve represented themselves and Avon View this year,” she said.

“They have both been a big part of the team — Emily for three years, Emma for four. We will miss them a lot,” said Blois.For Greenslade, who served as a captain this year, being a member of the team for four years was special. As was winning the league title — something she experienced in her first season with the Avalanche and then in her last season.
