Police are investigating
999 crews attended the incident around 9.45pm yesterday, in Merksworth Way, Paisley, after reports of a white Audi A4 burning.
The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and luckily, there are no reported injuries. Police officers are now investigating and are on the hunt for a"dark-coloured saloon car" seen at the scene.Detective Constable Barry Gourley said: “Fortunately no one was injured but the vehicle was extensively damaged.
“A dark-coloured saloon car was seen at the time of the incident which left in the direction of Inchinnan Road and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen it or its occupants. “In addition, anyone with dash-cam or private CCTV footage that could assist with our investigation is asked to get in touch.”
