Brigitte wanted to know why the wind direction in St. John’s, N.L., has been consistently from the north for weeks. It all has to do with the pattern in the upper levels of our atmosphere. | SaltWire
The circulation around a blocking high and stalled low-pressure has brought weeks of northerly winds to Newfoundland. While we're still waiting for data, this past April seemed to be one of the sunniest in recent years across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and southwest Newfoundland.
