This negative phase has put a blocking wall up. It is again sending our weather systems in reverse, causing them to retrograde from east to west back into the region, which will continue this week. Overall, the remaining activity won’t produce significant accumulation, but directly along north-facing coastlines where this activity will be more persistent and heavier at times. We could see total amounts of five to 15-plus cm between now and the end of the week.Given that it’s over several days, this is relatively manageable but could add up in Prince Edward Island, along north-facing coastlines and higher terrain in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador.
