Another event is the Songwriters’ Circle on March 12, 7 p.m. at Winspear Centre. Tenille Townes, of Grande Prairie, will be part of this year’s annual Juno Songwriters’ Circle, trading songs and stories with fellow artists Dan Mangan, Adria Kain, Lauren Spencer Smith, The Reklaws, The Bros. Landreth, Tyler Shaw and Wild Rivers. Tickets are $34.45 and up, available from the Juno site. The show will be broadcast on March 13, on CBC Radio One at 11 a.m. and on CBC Music at 4 p.m.
Juno Stories from the Studio on March 13, 10:30-11:45 a.m. at Allard Hall, MacEwan University, 11110 104 Ave. Free tickets available from the Juno website. The Juno Awards are March 13 at Rogers Place with tickets starting at $56 from Junoawards.ca. Performances include a long list of artists including Nickelback, Alexisonfire and Northern Cree. A special segment will be devoted to the 50th anniversary of hip hop with Kardinall Offishall, Maestro Fresh Wes and more.
