A Common Thread awards $1 million to Harlem's Fashion Row's Icon 360 fund and $1 million to brands, retailers, and factories

Today, the fund is awarding another $2 million in grants: $1 million will be given to Harlem’s Fashion Row Icon 360 fund for Black and P.O.C. fashion companies impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Another $1,015,000 will be distributed across 36 fashion companies in the United States.,” said Brandice Daniel, the CEO and founder of Harlem’s Fashion Row.
“The global pandemic continues to impact the entire fashion industry, which needs our support now more than ever,” said Tom Ford, chairman of the CFDA, in a statement. “This second round of funding allows us to help additional brands, retailers, and factories through the severe challenges of this time.
In addition, A Common Thread is receiving a $500,000 donation facilitated through the CFDA’s Fashion Manufacturing Initiative in collaboration with the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Andrew Rosen, and Ralph Lauren for manufacturers specifically in New York City. The total sum of funds raised for A Common Thread is now $4.9 million.
