The Hermits are the top seed in the tournament and ranked No. 7 in the NJ.com Top 20.
Nagar has scored just four goals on the season but his latest marked the second time in four days that he scored the only goal in a Lenape win. Lenape advances to a quarterfinal road game against the winner of Saturday’s game between Cedar Creek and West Deptford.Lenape matched its most wins in a season since 2018 and is making its first appearance in the Coaches Cup since 2014. Evan Gonzalez earned the shutout for Lenape.
St. Augustine opened the season with 13 wins, outscoring its opponents, 47-4. The Hermits hadn’t allowed a goal since Sept. 28, a span of five games.Junior Gavin Reissek scored a second-half goal to force extra time and Delsea prevailed 4-3 in a penalty-kick shootout in Eastampton to advance to a quarterfinal next week. Upset-minded Delsea will travel meet to the winner of Saturday’s Palmyra-Clearview first-round game.
