10-year-old girl dies after being struck by vehicle in Brooklyn: NYPD
The NYPD said the girl was hit near the intersection of Wallabout Street and Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg around 2:42 p.m. The girl was taken to a nearby hospital and the 61-year-old driver remained at the scene, authorities said.
City Councilmember Lincoln Restler posted about the child's death on social media, adding, "My heart breaks for her family and loved ones."
