Facebook is considering creating a news product, which would mark a significant change of strategy

Mark Zuckerberg said on Monday that Facebook is considering the creation of a news product on the social network.

"We have decided that there really is an opportunity to do something like that with news as well," Zuckerberg told Mathias Döpfner, chief executive of the German publisher Axel Springer in anFacebook's potential new foray into news marks a significant change of strategy after the companylast year to play down the prominence of news in people's online feeds.
