Zorro: The Chronicles puts players in the shoes of the titular masked vigilante in a swashbuckling adventure game based on the animated series.
In Zorro: The Chronicles players can step into the role of the iconic swashbuckling vigilante and fight for justice. With only a few appearances in the medium, Don Diego de la Vega, A.K.A Zorro could stand to benefit from success in the video game industry. The game's reveal trailer, which can be seen below, introduces potential players to the game's combat and its world.
After a century since his creation, the legendary literary figure of Zorro seems to be enjoying a renaissance in recent years. This new game, Zorro: The Chronicles, is an adaptation of an animated series by the same name. The animated series of Zorro: The Chronicles has seen success in many different countries such as France and Italy.Developed by BKOM studios, Zorro: The Chronicles will let players take on the role of the masked vigilante as they take on crooks and cheats.
The trailer goes on to show off other characters, including Ines, Zorro's sister, who will be playable in the full game. From the next few scenes of the trailer, viewers can see the moment-to-moment gameplay of Zorro: The Chronicles. Players will have the option to take a stealthy approach, swinging from rooftop to rooftop while thinning out the enemies. However, players can also dive into action head-first and take down an entire group single-handed.
It is certainly nice to see such an iconic figure in both film and literature headlining a video game again. While Zorro has seen success in most forms of media, the character has yet to establish a presence in videos games. It is certainly possible that Zorro: The Chronicles could change all that, as all it takes is a good adaptation.
