Zinedine Zidane is returning to the Real Madrid sideline after stepping down as manager 10 months ago
Zinedine Zidane last spring became the first manager in history to win the Champions League three years in a row. Days later, he did something just as improbable by quitting his job at Real Madrid.
It was a stunning move for two reasons. For one, he was sitting on top of the club soccer world. And for another, most Real managers get fired instead of leaving on their own terms. In fact, over the 15 years that Real president Florentino Perez has run the club, no manager had simply walked away before.
