Rumors of a The Legend of Zelda movie have been squashed. Illumination Entertainment recently partnered with Nintendo for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, a record-breaking animated movie that quickly rose to become the highest-grossing title of the year so far at the worldwide box office. Naturally, rumors began to swirl about the companies' next collaboration, and the iconic Legend of Zelda was floated as the next project they were eyeing.

I mean I can understand how people would surmise all sorts of things because obviously, we’ve had a great experience working together.
